What it Does

The Stasis Rifle fires a projectile that creates a spherical stasis bubble at the point of impact. Any creature caught in the bubble is frozen in place for several seconds. The freeze duration depends on the charge level and the creature's size. Hold the fire button longer for a larger, longer-lasting bubble.

Freeze Creatures

Temporarily immobilizes any creature in the stasis bubble, including Leviathans.

Charge Mechanic

Hold fire to charge. Longer charge means larger bubble and longer freeze duration.

Non-Lethal

Does not deal damage. Use for escape, crowd control, or setting up melee attacks.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Stasis Rifle work?

Charge the rifle by holding the fire button. A targeting reticle shows where the projectile will land. Release to fire a projectile that creates a spherical stasis bubble at the impact point. Any creature inside the bubble is frozen for several seconds, depending on charge level and creature size.

Can the Stasis Rifle kill creatures?

No, the Stasis Rifle is non-lethal. It only freezes creatures temporarily. Use it to escape predators, safely pass through dangerous areas, or freeze creatures while you attack with a Survival Knife or Thermoblade for easy kills.

Does the Stasis Rifle work on Leviathans?

Yes, but Leviathans have high resistance and require a full charge. The freeze duration is much shorter on large creatures, giving you only a few seconds to escape. Aim carefully and always have an escape route planned.
