How to Get & Where to Find

Mine Limestone Outcrops which have a chance to drop Copper Ore alongside Titanium. Because limestone is plentiful in the shallows, Copper is easy to gather in bulk early on — just expect to collect plenty of Titanium at the same time.

Shallow Waters

0–50m — limestone outcrops line the seafloor near your lifepod.

Best for early game

Kelp Forest

50–150m — dense outcrop clusters among the kelp.

Higher volume farming

Uses & Recipes

Copper Ore is the backbone of your power and electronics crafting tree. Batteries and power cells are consumed repeatedly throughout the game, so keep a steady supply on hand.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where to find Copper?

Same limestone outcrops as Titanium. Break limestone in the shallows or kelp forest and you'll collect Copper Ore alongside Titanium from each node.

Do I need a lot of Copper?

Yes, batteries and electronics consume significant amounts. Power cells in particular are a recurring expense for vehicles, so stockpile more Copper than you think you'll need.

Can Copper be found deep?

Yes, but shallow deposits are more efficient. The shallows and kelp forest offer the highest density of limestone with the least risk, so farm Copper there before descending into deeper biomes.
