Quick Info
Description
The Seamoth Perimeter Defense Module is a defensive upgrade that emits a low-power electric fence around the Seamoth. When aggressive fauna like Stalkers, Bonesharks, or Ampeels approach, they receive a shock and are momentarily stunned, giving you a window to either reposition or boost away. It does not deal heavy damage, but its deterrent effect makes solo Seamoth excursions far safer in predator-heavy biomes.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Seamoth Perimeter Defense Module do?
It projects an electric fence around the Seamoth that stuns predators that swim too close, giving you time to escape or reposition. The fence pulses outward whenever a hostile creature enters its radius.
Where do I find the Perimeter Defense blueprint?
The blueprint is found by scanning data boxes in deep wrecks and the Gamer's Retreat habitat. Bring a Laser Cutter to open locked doors inside wrecks so you can reach the inner data boxes.
Does the perimeter defense damage creatures?
The module stuns predators rather than dealing heavy damage, so it is a defensive tool rather than a primary weapon. Combine it with the Seamoth Torpedo System for offensive power if you need to clear hostile fauna.
